Hey everyone, Andy here. Today I am just making a short little update regarding me, the channel, and its future in two Twitch Teams I was apart of.
As many of you may or may not know, I was actually a part of two different Twitch Teams. Those being Variety TV and Critical Strike TV. Unfortunately as of today I am officially announcing that I will be stepping down and moving away from being apart of them. Now there are reasons why I am doing this to both teams and I will explain why.
Lets start with Variety TV, a team that I have been a part of since its launch back in 2012. At the start of it all It was great there were just a few people who were on the team that enjoyed casting and all was great. We did our first ever marathon that year as well and I felt that's were things got a little to insane. More and more people wanted to be a part of the team. Now I have no problem with that, but if people were just joining in order to get views. You were not a part of the team for the right reasons. However I let that slide and moved on with it. A few months would pass and then tons of drama would start occurring with members of the team, almost consistently. To try to fix this situation I thought maybe rebooting the entire team would help out the situation and restart everything. At first it seemed like it was what was needed, or at least so I thought. It continued to happen. Even to this day It would still happen. Then getting told that I should do something about it, its like why should I? Why should I get dragged into these situations. Not trying to be rude saying that but having to do everything on the team just made me miserable.
Because of that, I thought maybe be apart of a new team would of helped out. Which caused the creation of Critical Strike TV. Which at first seemed like a cool idea. Sadly though the team just kinda never kicked off like we hoped it would and it kinda just fell into the dust. The main guy behind the team just kinda disappeared and so nobody new could get added to the team. So it kinda was no reason to be apart of it anymore.
So as of last night before my Late Night Beatdowns cast, I actually have left both teams. Along with Karting Casters. I had nothing against anyone on Karting Casters either, I just never knew anyone on the team and all the team was people who casted Mario Kart. No one really raided anyone through that team so it didn't really help me as a caster. Was kind of the reason I joined that team was to just let people know I casted Mario Kart. But I don't think it did anything.
But yeah thats really the reasons why I left all these teams. If I could start over on these teams. I would of not gotten things out of hand. I would of had only a good number of people on the team and not a team with 12 pages of members on the team page. Having a team with about 12-15 people would be great. I would have people who would want to be actually apart of a team and not make it more serious then it really is. Just wanted a nice chilled group of people who don't take things super serious like its a freaking job because its not. We didn't make money being apart of any of these teams, but some people took it way more serious then it needed to be. Then things being said about other casters or people behind the scenes just pissed me off. I'll admit as a leader of these teams. I failed, and screwed up. But as I said if I could restart and do it over things would of been really different.
But anyways with that being said I want to finish with saying Thank you to all the people I got along with very well on Variety TV, Critical Strike TV, and Karting Kasters. There have been some great moments that have happened over the past few years. But sadly due to circumstances I have to move away from being apart of. I want to be someone who can be happy when I go into a stream and be apart of a group of casters. Not have it make me miserable. If you hate me for leaving and what I said. I don't care I got what I wanted to say off my chest, and I feel better for getting it out there, and I know some of you are thinking that. I do believe the teams will survive and be fine without me being in the picture, and it maybe for the better without me apart of it.
But with that being said, its a new era for me and The Gaming Beatdown. We are going to be flying solo for the next little while. Maybe one day I will return to a Twitch team, or heck even start a brand new one the way I always visioned it to be like. But until then we will have to wait and see. With that thank you all for reading this and I will see you all next time!
